Research everything you can, ask the doctors every question, quiz them mercilessly, leave nothing unanswered or assumed. Be the most pain in the ass customer you could ever imagine, get multiple opinions and shop for the best treatment and attention, --because one of the cruel truths I have recently learned about healthcare, and about cancer treatments in particular, is that you are a customer, and no one doctor knows everything.
The squeaky wheel phrase does apply. You are your wife's advocate, speaker and assistant and she will be lucky to have you.
