Hi Steve, and welcome to the forum. If you don't feel confident removing the cards yourself it would be a worthwhile investment to use the services of a paper conservator. I am sure there is at least one in your area. It sounds like a fabulous collection, especially with all those Wagner cards. 10-15 W555- that's the largest group I've ever heard of.
