Jeff S.I've been around piles of vintage paper/ephemera in my life - some left for years in wet basements/barns etc. I've seen similar ink transfers like this in the past, when two paper objects are stacked on top or next to one another and exposed to moisture for a period of time. Someone may have had a collection of cards that encountered moisture/humidity, the red ink bled onto the adjacent card, leaving a mirrored image. The slight blur (or bleed) of the reversed image and the overall aging of the card elude to this. Just a theory.
