There is a positive side to having many collectors of the key sets. There are many collectors that share your interests and there's a greater sense of a collecting community. With that it's easier to trade and/or buy cards from the key sets.

Also, there's nothing that says that collecting is limited to the key sets. Personally, besides trying to collect Goudeys I'm also looking for what I consider key vintage cards from other sets.
