davidcyclePeople make up stuff about a reprint being real, not about a real card being reprint. If the seller himself thought it was real, why would he sell it as a reprint? The answer is he wouldn't-- which means the seller doesn't believe it is real.
And even if he truly doesn't know whether it's reprint or real (so is 'selling as reprint'), why would you chose to purchase a thousands dollar card from someone who is unable to tell if the card is reprint or real? Wouldn't it be better to expensive raw baseball cards from sellers who can tell the difference?
In the end, if a seller says his sales lot is a reprint, take his word for it.
