I own a real estate company in Chicago... Chicago Properties Inc. I can't tell you that you are making a mistake, but there is research that the average FSBO (for sale by owner), realizes 18% less than a licensed real estate broker. Among other things, I think it has to do with the way that it is marketed and the relationships with other brokers that you would not have. That being said, I think you could sell your unit by yourself, cause it just isn't that hard.
