1. '48 ('49) Leaf, for no aesthetic reason, other than they are so ugly I think they're cool. Half the set is tough, half relatively easy. 3 recognized variations, lots of color variations, and a bit of a mystery about the wrapper
2. '53 Bowman color. Best design and best photography of any post war issue.
3. '67 Topps ditto the above, just not quite as good as '53.

This is just the mainstream list, open it up to smaller regional sets and there is a few more to add to the list.
