Mike PeichI had some interesting responses from the Max Stein/Pinkerton thread, and want to dedicate a thread to Pinkertons. As I mentioned earlier, I am compiling a checklist of Pinkertons and would like to hear from everyone who has one in his/her collection. To date Jeff Mohler, Adam Warshaw, Frank Ward, Steve Murray, John Spano, and that old desperado, Leon, have been most helpful. I am beginning to see some interesting trends.
I would like to hear from everyone who has Pinkertons in his/her collection. I need the following information:
-player name as it actually appears on the card
-team affiliation
-card number
-back description: blank, scorecard, or postcard
-postmark date if it was used as a postcard.
I have a database started, and I need to add to it, as well as start a population report. As soon as I have more information, I'll pass it along to the Board. Feel free to contact me: mpeich@comcast.net.
