MVSNYCthank you, that's kind...it took me many years to build-up or "parlay" my collection to what it is now...a lot of smart buys & trades...
my first knee-jerk reaction was "Wow, he overpaid for the Evers"...BUT, upon closer analysis, there are obviously no cards as high as it, or higher (1/1)...so in that respect you are good to go.
IF there was an Evers 9 out there, my guess is it would be worth $13-17K (remember this pose is his least popular), and an 8 is worth probably $5-7K.
So, with all of that said the current value for your SGC 8.5 SHOULD be around $10K, congratulations...
