Bruce BabcockExactly right, Barry. Ebay gives you millions of extra eyeballs (assuming two per person). But at what cost?
The people on this forum are proven frequent buyers of vintage material, and savvy enough with computers to buy what they want. I've never seen a post on this forum in which the poster said "I tried to bid in a Mastro, REA, Clean Sweep, Lelands, Huggins & Scott, etc. auction and couldn't figure out how so I gave up." Nor I have seen anyone post "I tried to bid in a David Bryan or Scott Brockelman auction (both exclusively ebayers) and couldn't figure out how . . ."
Any strategy which ultimately elimates many of your best customers needs a re-think.
Being a Luddite myself, I'm looking forward to Barry's auction!
