Joe D, my experience was very similar to what you write...the sirens would ring in my head every night and wake me up...I threw all my clothes away because I couldn't have them in the house...it all rings quite true. I don't think I actually took a full breath for 4 months...

You know the best part of that day was collapsing on my brother-in-law's front lawn and looking at the sky, before I was pulled to my feet by my nephews begging me to be the "all-time pitcher" for their neighborhood wiffle ball game...and it all happily faded away for a few minutes on a homemade baseball diamond that evening.

Ted, interesting about that 1/3 rule...

I guess it is easier for people to doubt and to listen to doubters, the less connected to an event they are...and never discount the need/desire of the doubter to draw attention to himself
