Default t206 Boston Find and Back Damage

Posted By: warshawlaw

On water-based glue a soaking in distilled water can remove the card from the scrapbook with no damage. There was a thread some time ago about this issue.

On oil-based glue it may be possible using some nasty solvents to remove the cards without tearing. There is likely to be some staining residue but that's still nicer than torn paper. The easiest/most convenient solvent to use is called "Bestine" and is a form of rubber cement solvent available in most any art supplies store. I got the info from a paper conservator who uses it to clean paper artwork.
