drcycleback-.Proofs are tests prints before the final printing. They are used by the printers to see how the card looks and determine what should be changed to make the card look better (ala 'needs more red.') It's the equivilent of a first or second draft of a article you are writing ('proof reading'). If a proof has differences from the final cards, that is not unexpected.
