Default strip card question

Posted By: fkw

For those of you that are interested, I was digging through some 15 year old "The Old Judge" (Lew Lipset) newsletters and came across a "Four Base Hits Auction" catalog. I found the picture of the "1920's W-Unc. Playing Strip Cards" Ruth (on left in picture). Also in the same picture (on the right) is another of the playing cards like Meusel and Speaker above. I never paid much attention to the card on the right, but it is a Ruth from the same set (slightly offcut with a "Q" showing on the left side). Back in 1991 I was bidding on the D350-3 Ruth (rarer 1921 version) in the middle, I should have bid on the rarer ones on the left and right but I didnt. BTW I didnt win the D350-3 Ruth, my max was $400. oh well

Maybe Bob Lemke can update these sets in his 2007 SCD.
