I don't think you did bad at all. I think, if anything, the only reason that there were not more bids was because I think the Seymour Uzit has been in previous auctions over the past few years. I think Uzit prices are somewhat depressed right now, across the board, because of Lifson's find - but I don't think you paid too much at all.
Incidentally - if any of the rarer backs are of Philadelphia Nationals players, and you would want to sell them, please e-mail me at "marc.schoenen@ge.com". I know I would have potentially bid more aggressively if I knew which commons were in the lot....
