Default About Frank Nagy...

Posted By: Anonymous

Hello all...
I stumbled upon this site by accident a few days ago, and started reading some of the posts here and how much everyone seems to love the hobbie of card collecting, almost as much as my grandfather Frank Nagy did. I saw a post about him and thought I would let all of you know how much I enjoyed reading some of the stories you had to share about him. He was a wonderful man and had a true love for collecting. I remember as a child being in heaven working with my granfather in his room in the basement as he got the cards and I got the gum. He would spend hours and hours downstairs working with his beloved cards. He was a class act and I'm realizing more and more as I grow up just how special he was and how I wish there were more people out there like him. I will say that for those of you going to Chicago this weekend, you will be in for a treat if you stop by the Mastro booth. I always knew growing up that my grandfather was a collector and that some of the cards that had were very rare...but it's not until recently that I'm realizing just how rare they are. The thing I will remember the most about my granfather was how generous he was. He was always willing to help people, from collectors to his family to his friends, he was someone that you were very glad to have on your side. Again, thank you for posting some of your stories about my grandfather, I always love hearing stories about him. And for those of you wondering where Frank was located, he was in Grosse Ile. He started in Detroit though. And he was in a Time article called "card sharks" from october 1971. I hope this post wasn't too long, I just wanted to share a few things about Frank.
