I think the seller's ebay ID hints at his modus operandi -- piecesofthegame.

I just had a great idea. Perhaps Topps could buy up vintage bb cards, like they did for the T206's, but instead of encapsulating them complete, they could put them through the shredder and offer authentic strips of famous cards like these Mayo's or even the T206 Wagner. What an exciting twist on the insert craze!
