scott brockelmangenerally the larger mount and expanded size with grey or black mounts mean later dating 1900-1920, usally having an impressed photographers stamp in the lower right corner. the traditional cabinet card size and small mount with albumen type photos are 1880 to mid 1890's, ans usually have printed photographer info across the bottom. at least that has been my experience with sports and non sports mounted photo images.
