jay behrensI didn't get to buy it, but the coolest thing I ever saw was shown to me by a lady that was interested in how much cabinet photo of Kid Nicohols was worth. I was a great portrait picture of him in uniform with a love letter written on the back and signed by Nichols. The lady said that her great great grandmother used to date him.
Best actual pick up 6 Firesides, Plank, Baker, Bender, Collins, Mack and Barry, for $100 back in the early 80s. Boy, do I regret selling those cards. At the same show I picked up a run of Minnepolis Miller and St Paul Saints team photos from 1936-1960 that had Ted Williams, Ray Gandridge, Willie Mays, Orlando Cepeda and Yaz on the teams for $20 and a Cobb decal bat for $50 that I immdeately turned around and sold for $250 before leaving the show.
And Ben, that Jackson was supposed to be mine :-p
