The big unit joins the following vintage players:

Lee Richmond, 1880
Monte Ward, 1880
Cy Young, 1904
Addie Joss, 1908
Charlie Robertson, 1922

There was a big gap then, the next perfect game wasn't until 1956, when Don Larsen threw one.
