JulieI was up in the Berkeley hills, stopping at yard sales at the time of the last baseball strike, and I always asked if the people had any cards for sale. At one place I stopped, the lady of the house said, "My son just sold all his baseball cards for one dollar. It was in protest to the baseball strike." I asked, but didn't have to (it was a very posh neighborhood--the kind of neighborhood where a yard sale could be really juicy!)-whether the cards were from all times and in good shape, and she said "Only the best." It had happened a minute before I got there...
