Grown-ups don't defent themselves this way Brooks - they address the issue at hand and do something about it. In your case, I would suggest that you simply stop selling trimmed cards as "THIS CARD MEASURES CORRECTLY".

Another bit of info you might be able to use: when you say "measures correctly", you shouldn't believe that readers of your ads assume that you are implying "...with a variance of 10%".
