Default Breaking open PSA holders

Posted By: John Wojak

Stu, if you felt that the difference between what you paid for it and what you were able to sell it for was due to the fact that you cracked it out of its slab, then how come you didn't try to resubmit it to PSA or SGC for a new NrMt/Mt slab? Then you wouldn't have been selling it as a raw card where the dealer would haggle with you over the grade.

I tend to agree with Steve (Vorthian) and benge that the real reason for the difference between what you paid and what you got for it now is the drop in the market price for 8s.

Gimme a nice "3" or "4" of that card any day - it still looks great, I can afford it (plus a heck of a lot of other nice cards for the difference), I can sell it easily, and so what if the market drops by a third, what do I lose, $250?? I can live with that. I don't want to have to worry that if the market drops for a particular card I will lose $6,000 on it.
