petecldThe text on my card is the same way as you described and I always look for this card to see if I can find one with text that does match the other E93s and I haven't found one yet. Actually, the card is still wrong. According to the two reference books I used the correct spelling is "Phillippe".
Same goes for the E98 Mathewson. The text style is VERY different from the rest of the set but I have never seen on with text that does match the rest of the set. This different style of text is found on all 4 colors of the E98 set. The only possible answer I can think of is that E98s include nicknames. Since adding "Christy" in the name makes it quite long, the name became too long for the card and instead of pushing letters closer together they used the condensed type face so they wouldn't need to "squeeze" the name quite so much. Even now it still looks a little "squeezed" in there.
