I remember buying a literal full wicker bushel basket of cards in likely 1983 as a kid with my allowance during the neighborhood yard sale.
For some unknown reason, I gravitated to the 1982 Topps in action card of Vida Blue in that basket. Only a year old, but beat up like it just just took on a young Mike Tyson with a crumpling that would impress a 3 year old.
It helped grow my fascination of riding bikes to the "Quik Stop" on the corner of my small town to buy more cards. I now have that card in a PSA 10 for memories, but even better I still have that worthless card. So glad I never tossed it as a teen for being worthless and I am keeping it forever.
