Some of us decided to bite the bullet (and trust me, it tasted awful) because the desire to have a complete '52 T set was the deciding factor. At least with around $1000 involved for Bartirome.
If it had been, say, $10,000, or if I had to buy directly from Bartiromo at all, then that would've changed everything for me. Never would've even started the build then. At that point, the money and/or principle would've been the overriding factor to have 407/407.
And I imagine plenty of others had a similar mindset. Not something I'd "blame" anyone for.
