I do love the cabinets . . .

Jay, love seeing the supersized version of the N172 Ward. So what is that on his left shoulder? Impossible to study on the N172, but perhaps you can make it out on the N173?

Here are a couple of my favorites. Presenting the best offensive and defensive catcher of the 1870s (Deacon White) and the best defensive catcher of the 1880s (Charlie Bennett). Bennett was often among the league leaders in offense but tough to compete with Ewing & Kelly - if you call them catchers .



Bennett is among the more common N173s but nearly all of them have "DETROIT" removed from uniform as they were all issued in 1889 when with Boston. Glad to have an early version in which DETROIT is still present.
