One of the earliest Ty Cobb issues is this full 1905 Sporting Life issue with the 1905 Detroit Tigers W601 picture featured on the front. Ty Cobb is an 18 year old rook who had made his debut in late August. One of the earliest Cobb pieces available. The 16-page paper (10 x 14) is lightly toned and displays 3 notebook holes along the left border from having once been bound. All of the covers and pages are detached but present. A few minor chips and edge tears are evident to both the covers and pages. One of the pages has a small application of clear tape along the base. Price is $750 obo delivered. really cool!
