for example: if the last bid of the evening comes in at 10:00 or earlier, the auction ends when the clock strikes 10:05. A bid on any card at 10:01, :02, :03 or :04 extends the auction for all cards to end at 10:06, :07, :08, :09 respectively .... and so on.
