Default Roberto Clemente Signed Check

ROBERTO CLEMENTE SIGNED COMPLETE PERSONAL CHECK Check is made out entirely in Clemente's own hand except for the "Pay to the order of" which is signed and then endorsed by San Diego clubhouse assistant Herman Levy who was the Padres clubhouse attendant as a testament to Clemente's generosity for $20.00 who has also endorsed the reverse. Is slabbed in a PSA holder with a grade of 7. Vertical crease through center portion of check which is normal for a Clemente check and is barely noticeable. Most importantly Not a single bank perforation or cancelation touches the signature ! Extremely clean and highly prized Clemente check. Note that the slab makes it difficult to scan the check and provide a true image which is sensational. His name is appropriately printed on the top left of check which measures 2 3/4 x 6. Dated June 8th 1972 The Pirates won 11-2 that day and in a double header played the day before Clemente went 3 for 5. Both he and the Pirates were on the top of their game. A major league All Star an amazing 15 times he was MVP in 1966 he was to die in a plane crash a little more than seven months after signing his check in 1972 he was inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame in 1973. $4,500.00 ppd
