I was hoping to see a response to this also. I was wondering if it had to do with him being with Booklyn.
I just bought a 1912 photo of him in the RMY in November for minimum bid. There seems to be a huge difference considering one is his Sophmore Season and the other is his last. The one I bought does have more condition issues, but again it is quite a leap.
There always seems to be an inconsistency in image prices still. For instance I was trying to research AAGPBL photo prices when I bought some and
found this image sold for $51.79 in Sept, 2013.
Then in June, 2014 (10 months later) this image sold for $286.12
