Carl Nesensohn was a New York Times / Wide World photographer. Interesting story here about a photo he took titled, "The Burning of the 'Morro Castle.'"

He could have written the note on the back, or someone at the paper could have written it to ensure that proper credit for the photo was given. Either way, Brooklyn never played the Giants in a World Series. Perhaps there was an exhibition game in 1922 between the two teams and the editor or whoever wrote the note misidentified the event, or perhaps Robinson was on hand for the Yankees vs Giants World Series in 1922 and snagged a photo op (seems less likely, but who knows?)

Polite corrections for unidentified and misidentified photos appreciated. Rude corrections also appreciated, but less so.
