Default 1914 Newark Long Branch Cubans RPPC

1914 Newark/Long Branch Cubans real photo postcard. After the 1913 season, The Long Branch Cubans moved to Newark briefly in 1914, before moving back to Long Branch mid-season. This postcard appears to depict the team during that brief period in Newark, as most of the uniforms have the “N” on the sleeve, and not “Long Branch” as can be seen in the top row, far right.

This team team features several future and former major leaguers including Jose “Acostica” Acosta, Angel Aragon, Juan Viola, and Ricardo Torres. But the most important player is the great Cuban, Luis “El Mulo” Padron, sitting in the front row, far left.

Here are all of the player identifications:

Top row, left to right: Paco Munoz, Santiago Dominguez, Tomas Romanach, Juan Viola, Ricardo Antonio Henriquez, Fidelio Hungo, Ricardo Torres, John Racklin.

Front row, left to right: Luis Padron, Manuel Jimenez, Tomas Calvo, Angel Aragon, Jose Acosta, Manuel Baranda.

Postcard is postally unused and in outstanding condition. I can email better scans. These images seem darker after I uploaded them. Anyway, price is $1,500.

Thanks,
