My oldest complete set is 1943 R302-1. It's probably the most inexpensive prewar set, and definitely the ugliest.
I'm at 26/50 on the N162 set. I don't have the Anson, Kelly, or Sullivan, but most of the other big names (Brouthers, Beecher, etc).
I used to have a complete C56 hockey set in low grade. I sold it off when I graduated college though.
Most of my sets are post-1980. Everything from 792 card Topps base sets, to 10 card Upper Deck insert sets, to those worthless 1980's Kmart boxed sets. Everything is in albums, which takes up a TON of space.
The only reason I bust modern wax is to build sets. I sell off all the "hits" to recoup cost.
