As someone who played at somewhat of a higher level, baseball scholarship to Wichita state (when they were good) and drafted by the Mets out of high school, baseball defined my childhood and into my early adult years.
Now that my oldest son is 8, he doesn't have the drive and desire to play and practice like I did but absolutely loves collecting cards and the history of the old players. It has been the best father -son bonding time we've spent together.
Try finding another 8 year old out there that can list off all the different t206 backs for you off the top of his head!
