Old Judge advertising scorecards

No mention of OJ in his listings, but based on the prices realized that may not have mattered.

I don't recall seeing these before. I'm curious as to whether you think having OJ in the description would have propelled these to greater heights?

(I only posted the one scorecard, versus the pages of items he's sold over the past month)

I think the item was worth paying an extra couple hundred dollars for, though obviously it wasn't had at a steal.

Below's a black and white one picturing Tim Keefe. If my memory is correct, it sold for $800 something a number of years back-- probably is worth a lot more today. I think the black & white's are rarer and this one has a more realistic image of the player (but isn't in color):

Old Judge advertising scorecards

Posted By: henry moses
as I've handled 5/6 and seen a few more ALL in black and white and this is only the second color one I've seen. I'm not a scorecard collector and of course this is an egocentric view = but I would think the color scorecards to be tougher to FIND in the marketplace even if they survive in greater numbers - or the B/W are just more frequently traded. I still surmise there are more B/W surviving.... As for listing a premium item without enough keywords - that's clearly the seller's fault and problem - something encountered to one degree or another all the time - and I for one always appreciate the fewest interested parties when I'm taking my shot........
