Posted By: Frank H Wakefield II
The print of the caption looks like reprint type, not original; the color of the face contrasting with the red background doesn't look correct, face should be more pastel looking.

How would you know this is a reprint?

Posted By: Steve Dawson
The easiest way to tell, is that on real Cracker Jacks, the border and the player's uniform are the same color...there is no difference in the shading. So on this one, the colors are different = it's a fake.

Edited to add the following picture. Notice on the right side, Joe's uniform (above the highest fold) blends into the border. All authentic CJ's are like this.

Steve

Posted By: jay wolt
Another way to tell is that the seller states its a reprint.
So with that said you won't find a multi-thousand dollar card
for a few bucks.
Here is the eBay link
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=110111338095&ru=http%3 A%2F%2Fsearch.ebay.com%3A80%2Fsearch%2Fsearch.dll% 3Ffrom%3DR40%26satitle%3D110111338095%26category0% 3D%26fvi%3D1

How would you know this is a reprint?

Posted By: Dylan
well i think all you need to do is look at a few real Cracker Jacks and the reasons become apparent. If you are having trouble recognizing reprints stick to graded cards from PSA, SGC until you look at the real stuff enough to be comfortable buying raw.
