Paypal Question

Posted By: Harrison
Am I completely 100% protected by paypal when I buy an item with it? Im thinking of buying an item but the guy selling it only had completed 2 transactions (both succesfull). Also, the BV in the lots are fairly high, but the Buy-it-Now's are extremely low for the cards in the lots. Thanks for the help.

Paypal Question

Posted By: Mike
Paypal will ONLY side with you in a dispute if they are able to recover money from the other party. If they are not able to recover the money (and would thus have to eat it if they sided with you) they will say that there is not enough evidence no matter what you tell them.

Basically I'm saying that the paypal guarantee means nothing... use paypal only with peope you can reasonably trust.

Paypal Question

Posted By: leon
I would be very careful of buying on Yahoo. It seems like almost everything is fraudulent or a scam. If you have to buy something, then pay with paypal through your credit card....then you should have some protection through your credit card company. Personally, I don't even look at Yahoo anymore as it's not worth the hassle...Be extremely careful..good luck

Paypal Question

Posted By: Harrison
Leon, your response pretty much told me what I was thinking it might be...fraud. The guy was selling a 206 card lot which included 3 T206 Cobbs in good condition for a $40 buy it now. I was thinking fraud all along but was still thinking of taking the chance if he garunteed authenticity and I knew I was protected 100%. I was also wondering if he was just an idiot or really bad at fraud. Here are his two auctions for anyone that has bigger balls then me ...

http://auctions.yahoo.com/i:set%20of%20206%20baseball%20cards:230345114

http://auctions.yahoo.com/i:assortment%20of%20tobacco%20baseball%20cards:230 341778
