I would have expected somewhere in that vicinity if Lajoie's image was not affected. I was thinking that this example would grab $150 max. Maybe Colgan's are starting to earn a little more respect in the hobby. The entire series always gets my vote for the most underappreciated set.

Im still working on liking round cards. The Dixie lids are easiest for me to like so far.

Posted By: Tom Boblitt
is a tough Colgan's in any series too. The buyer also collects Colgans. I didn't see that one or I might have put a bid or two in...........As we've stated over last few months there are VERY few Colgan's trading hands on ebay and I haven't seen a nice lot in any major auction for a long time.....

Posted By: Rhett
The only reason this card went so high was because the buyer is a an idiot.(joke)

Nothing escapes the everpresent eye of this forum. I'd been looking for a Lajoie for a while, but wasn't expecting to have to pay quite that much for it, but apparently there was someone else out there that has similar tastes as I do. Oh yeah, I'm always looking for Colgans if people have extras.
-Rhett
