Posted By: E, Daniel
"Why aren't more higher grades posted?"

This recent thread had me wondering..... which pre-world war 2 sets currently have AT LEAST ONE player from the issue NOT graded higher than a 6 by any of the big FOUR - SGC, PSA, Beckett, and GAI?...............and therefore couldn't be part of a set whose requirements are grades of nrmt and better...........

I'm not 'memberized' by PSA so cannot do the definitive check myself, but I would find it a little interesting, no????

Edited to say: Of course, I ran out of letter space in the title and couldn't add "4".............and couldn't bring myself to edit it for the purpose!

Posted By: warshawlaw
Virtually no prewar boxing cards exist in 7 or better. I own the highest graded (SGC) examples of many of them and they range from 4-8.5.

Posted By: Spencer Wolff
As far as PSA goes, there are 33 different players from the 1914 Cracker Jack set that grade no higher than a PSA 6.

Posted By: Bob
I think the E98s still have a handful of cards in which the highest grade was 6 (sometimes 5) or less. At least there were 3 or 4 last fall.

Posted By: Al Crisafulli
Unfortunately I don't think you can check Global's pop reports, but...

The W502 set has many cards with a high grade of 5. PSA has yet to grade all the cards, SGC has graded them all but most are in the single digits. There are nine SGC 88s and one PSA 8 in total.

-Al
