Posted By: quan
i'm assuming you picked this card up from the ebay seller. i'd place a snipe but asked him if he would guarantee it would grade with sgc or psa. this is what i received.

Hello, I have to be honest with you, I have now tried my hand twice with sending in cards, the first time I had a T206 Cy Young Portrait that was a PSA 4, I broke it out, sent it back in to PSA because I knew it was at least a 5, it came back trimmed!! So I decided to give GAI A try with a SGC50 1934 Goudey Hornsby, it came back trimmed!!! I don't know what they will say! All I know is that it measures correct and looks good to me.

after reading the message i decided to take off the snipe, good luck with the grading if you go that route.

Posted By: bigfish
I saw all of those t206's on ebay as well. They all looked sharp. The joss top border looks short but you will have to send it in to see. Judging by Quans message hopefully the seller is not somekind of card doctor. Good luck

Posted By: Dan Koteles
Iam sure Tim meant 1933 Goudey ,he has many pre-war
friends, many that you all know. He is a nice guy.
If you have a system in which you purchase and a
card doesnt meet that requirement, use your judgment accordingly. I find it rare that he did send any in,
he buys any and everything and puts it on ebay. He
has at times put up some incredible stuff. Not every-
one is going to do things the way you want them to,
everybody is different and their are many different
ways and personalities of sellers, buyers,what-ever.

That card mentioned looks like a hi- end 6 to answer
your question.

Thanks
Dan

Posted By: Brian
I have seen some 7's slabbed by psa and this card would be an 8 if i compared it to some of those cards! Any chance I get and 7 or 8?

Posted By: Josh K.
I think most people are trying to tell you that there is a chance this card is trimmed and may not grade at all. my guess, if not trimmed, its no better than a 6 but most likely a 5. Why not just send it in and then tell us what it got.

Posted By: JimB
If it is not trimmed, it would still be impossible to give an accurate assessment of the grade from that scan. The difference between a six and an eight is slight.
JimB

Posted By: Josh K.
ok, I give up. so what if another card looks similar in a scan - as Jim pointed out, the difference b/t a 6 and an 8 isnt something you can see in a scan. Unless you want to pay me to tell you its an 8 and put it in a toploader for you, just send the freakin card in to psa or gai and see what it is. And despite the fact that I think their service is superior, dont send the card to sgc because I bet it doesnt grade better than a 60.

Oh, and to me, the card in the link you provided appears to have a larger bottom border (which makes up for the small top border). The Joss above does not appear to have a large bottom border.

Posted By: Martin Neal
The card looks trimmed to me. The bottom edge appears v shaped with the two corners being the longer points. I would definately send it in to SGC. SGC has graded two t206s I had that PSA said were trimmed. I didn't think the two were trimmed, but were just oddly cut. So, who knows, you might get lucky.
