Are you looking for info about how much they are worth, or are you just interested in learning more about the set in general? Either way, you've come to the right place. I'm sure you will get some great responses once you give us a little more detail about what you have and what you're looking to find out about what you have.

Posted By: <b>eddie</b><p>i have about 40 1939 and 1940 play ball cards from my uncle who passed away. they were all glued in a journal. some have come off the paper and still have the glue on the backs. i am interested in hearng about these cards and if there is a way to remove the glue and the paper that are stuck to the cards.

Posted By: <b>Chris Counts</b><p>Eddie,<br /><br />I once picked up some 1941 Play Balls that were glued to the pages of a scrapbook. I soaked them overnight and simply peeled the cards off the scrapbook pages. The cards tend to warp at bit when they dry out, but after I pressed them between a couple books, they turned out fine. One thing to consider, though, is that some types of glue aren't water soluable, so you may end up with some glue and paper stuck to the card ...<br /><br />While 1940 Play Balls aren't the hottest cards in the market, there are many who do collect and appreciate them. The high numbers (181-240) are tougher to find and worth more as well.

Posted By: <b>zach</b><p>I've removed glue many times, and have done to with ease and no paper missing. Though it does take time, if you know what your doing a practice it on less valuable cards first you will be set to go.
