On the other hand, someone might get a helluva deal if it is a real E97 Young.

Posted By: Bruce MacPherson
No thanks. I'm a little gunshy after receiving a fake e98 cobb that I thought looked okay from the scan. I had a bad feeling about the card but decided to take a chance. Not willing to do that again.

Posted By: Bottom of the Ninth
I am sure the E97 collectors are not too happy with your unearthing the Young but then again I am not too sure it would be a huge score as I think the card might be trimmed. At least it appears narrow to me. I would not have seen this so, thanks!!!

Greg

Posted By: Rob
at $735 now. I think the card, if real, has been water damaged, as I have had a card with that type of orange dye which actually had been water damaged, lowering a vg condition to fair at best. Of course, with that picture, who can tell? Impressive what information on this board can do.

Posted By: tbob
Greg- You are probably right, that wasn't my intention to spoil a nice price for anyone, though. I STILL think it is funky looking and at the time I wrote the post it was going for $47 to littlefish or smallfish (any relation to our own bigfish?)with about 5 hours to go and the only people who had bid on it were names never seen on this forum.
Looks like Scott Elkins came in and drove it way up with one bid and the subsequent attempts to get to Scott's max. Who knows what it will end up at.
Bob

Posted By: Lee Behrens
I'm suspicious because it appears to be the same size as his lamp. Maybe it's a Briggs premium?

It also appears trimmed left to right to me.

Lee
