I was going through my t206 collection today, and realized that I'd like to store them differently, in a way that's easier to go through and look at them. I was thinking of going from the "top loaders and penny sleeves in a long box" back to the "cards in sheets in a binder" of my youth.<br /><br />Has anyone done this? What combination of supplies (sheets, etc.) gave you the most confidence in storing t-cards? A lot of my cards are low-grade, so I think the ultra-pro 15-pocket sheets would result in some t-fatalities.<br /><br />Any suggestions/recommendations would be appreciated, including "You are insane, keep them the way they are." I go through these phases every so often where I want to look at my cards. Wacky, eh?<br /><br />thanks<br /><br />Morrie

Posted By: <b>Nathan</b><p>Another way I've seen - that is similiar to the picture posted above is top loaders in plastic sheets 4 to a page. I know that'll be several volumes considering how big the set is. That's how I do a majority of my cards as I like to flip thru them without worrying about damaging them if they aren't already graded.<br />

Posted By: <b>tbob</b><p>Morrie- I have certain sets in ultra pro pages; coincidentally, one of those sets is the T206 (also have the T205, T207, E90-1 and the 1910 and 1911 Obak sets in pages). The rest are pretty much slabbed, including all caramel card sets. The cards in the ultra pro pages have stayed safe and free from harm, residing in air-conditioned luxury out of sunlight. <br />Bob

Posted By: <b>Josh K.</b><p>If you are referring to my binders Brian, they are a bit heavy. I use good quality archival binders and I store them laying flat (as opposed to standing them upright). That tends to eliminate any weight issues. Also, each binder can hold max 10 pages (40 slabs total). Obviously, doing it this way requires many more albums than if they were unslabbed. but I like it b/c it makes it much easier to look at my slabbed cards than if they were in boxes.

IT's too THIN!) sheaths, in Vario Lighthouse stockpages (completely inert plastic, proteacts from acidity, and--mine have a black center devider--four pockets on each side. You can get clear ones, too, but the black looks so nice.<br /><br />Subway Stamop Shop--if you're interest5ed, I'll look up their phone number and you can get a free catalogue, or order over the phone. The Mylar I get from Mark Macrae, but if you want over 100, he'll give you the address to order from.<br /><br />My poor hockey cards! Some are as described above, and some graded by SGC!

Posted By: <b>zach</b><p>I couldn't agree more with you. I will start buying binders when a sheet comes out that fits toploaders. IMO I dont think just the plastic sheet is enough protection, I want to be able to have a sheet that can fit my cards while still in toploaders.

Posted By: <b>Josh K.</b><p>Hey Brian,<br /><br />You are correct, psa slabs dont fit well at all. however, ultrapro makes specially molded pages for psa slabs - only problem is that they are rigid and fairly thick so you can only fit about 5 pages in a binder. Posted By: <b>Wesley</b><p>Ultra-Pro does make rigid sheets specifically for PSA and Beckett holders. The slabs snap right into the sheets. As Josh mentioned, these pages are very very thick. At most you can hold 24 cards in MJ Roop's largest binder. Another problem is that the sheets stick to one another. It was such a hassle to unstick the pages that I gave up using the Ultra-Pro pages and simply gave them away.

Posted By: <b>Josh K.</b><p>For what its worth, I never had the problem with pages sticking together that Wes had. I thought the holders worked well (except for their size) - which really is only a problem in that you must use more binders. <br /><br />I should also point out, that the psa sheets can be used for gai slabs as well (you have to force them, but they will fit).<br /><br />Finally, one suggestion - Ive found that gai/psa/beckett slabs will fit better in the 4 page binder sheets if they are first put into a graded card sleeve such as the following:<br /><br /><a href="http://www.the2buds.com/suslgrad.htm" target="_new" rel="nofollow">http://www.the2buds.com/suslgrad.htm</a> <br /><br />Overkill for sure, but the extra width helps keep them in place. If that doesnt work, a little tape at the top of the sheet will work (if you look closely at my pics above, you will notice that I do this with the top two cards on each sheet to prevent them from sliding up once the fit loosens - one small strip of scotch tape does the trick and its hardly noticable - the bottom two cards are prevented from sliding out by the top two cards).
