Storing Graded Cards & M.J. Roop

Posted By: T206Collector
Anyone use M.J. Roop's archival storage boxes? Do their custom inserts list all the cards in a set, or only those that you have/tell them to list?

Any idea how many SGC graded cards one of their boxes would hold? And do you recommend using them? If not, how do you store your graded card collection?

Posted By: Peter Thomas
I have 3 wood boxes - 1 with my Ramly set, 1 with my T205 set, and 1 with E92's. Boxesare great, but very heavy so you need sturdy shelves. They hold PSA, GAI and SGC holders about 170 PSA and GAI holders and 150 SGC.

Posted By: warshawlaw
the ultra pro pages work just fine. They are almost a perfect fit for SGC cards. PSA and GAI cards tend to slide around but I won't have many of those for long...

Their boxes add a touch of credibility even to my craptacular T206 collection.

http://www.displayco.com/

Scottoptamus
My T206 Web Site

http://www.freewebs.com/scottopotamus

Posted By: Josh K.
I, like Adam, use the four pocket sheets for my sgc cards - only I keep them in MJ Roop 3-Ring binders. They look great. PSA and GAI slabs can be fit into molded (hard) plastic sheets made especially to hold psa slabs by ultra pro. They fit into three ring binders as well. They are available from the 2buds link above and from mj roop (at a bit higher cost).

Posted By: wesley
The problem with slabs in ultrapro sheets in binders is that even a really tall binder only fits a total of 24 or so slabbed cards.

The MJ Roops boxes are working out pretty well for me. The wooden ones are cool but the cardboard ones cost only half as much and hold just as many cards. Each hold four caramel sets almost perfectly.

Posted By: Josh K.
True regarding the ultrapro molded sheets for psa/gai cards - you cant fit enough into an album. However, using the 4 pocket sheets with gai cards and you can fit significantly more into a large album - which works out well for me as I am in the process of crossing all of my psa cards (and then likely gai cards) into sgc slabs.
