SOLD - RARE 1907 Wolverine News Postcard - Ty Cobb HOF Rookie Card

This beauty is the 1907 Wolverine News Portrait Postcard picturing Cobb on his first individual baseball card appearance. This card was originally in a PSA 3(MK) holder but I preferred the superior presentation of its current SGC holder and had it crossed over in spite of the drop in grade. The front of the card grades a strong VG and the back is postally used, but that is what makes this Cobb rarity so special!!! The message on the card back was written by a Detroit resident on October 15, 1909 and subsequently mailed on October 16, 1909. The message refers to the Pittsburgh-Detroit World Series going on during these two days!!!<br /><br />This may be your only chance to pick up Ty Cobb's first ever card issue along with an amazing Pittsburgh-Detroit World Series provenance.
