Vintage Baseball Trophy piece: questions answered!
 

Posted By: <b>Alan Elefson</b><p>Hi-<br><br><br><br> I am actually not sure that the item scanned below is a belt buckle, or a hat badge, or something else entirely. Has anyone seen anything like this before? Any idea on age or manufacturer or purpose? I am guessing it is either late 1800s or early 1900s based on the shape of the catcher's mask and the bats. I picked it up at an antique auction with a group of silver pins (no baseball pins) that ranged in age from the late 1800s to the 1950s. I also changed the title of the thread as I am fairly certain it was not made for a belt buckle.
