A real hartland tag is from the 50's and you just know by handling one and being exposed to the real thing. a repo will be a different card stock or a different hue, you just can't explain it without handling the real thing.<br>

I've never seen a repro tag (I think), as all of mine have been sold to me by auctions, as being original.<br><br>Isn't the little string different somehow? I bet the colors aren't as rich on the new tags as well... the red background looks more &quot;stark&quot; to me (in the pictures I've seen).
