However, I am interested in acquiring a bat of this nature. Can someone tell me if this is a reasonable price for an item like this? Thanks for any help in advance!

Posted By: Alan O'Connor
Hi-
I collect game used bats of Sacramento baseball players, many of them playing in the MLB in the 1920s and 1930s. I have about 50-60 gu bats (about 90% are Louisville Sluggers)and the price on this "block signature" Powell seems VERY high to me. Just my opinion.
Alan

Posted By: Mark L
It's probably higher than you'd pay on ebay, but it's in the range that Leftfield Collectibles has been selling bats of New York player bats from the 20's and 30's. I would be more confident if I knew that the Powell who ordered that bat was named Jake, but then it's hard to find a pre-war bat that doesn't involve some guesswork as to its use.
