Posted By: warshawlaw
All that happens is that your business practices get held up for scrutiny as a basis for a defense. Every disgruntled customer and employee becomes a witness against you. As a plaintiff, you really have to consider whether a pissant dispute hurts your business sufficiently to force you to war. Frankly, the publicist who said that good or bad publicity were the same as long as they spelled your name right had the idea. I doubt that Hager would lose business over the long haul if he'd just left things alone. After all, as much as we bitch and whine about certain dealers and graders, they still stay in business.

Posted By: Mark
I am representing PRO Grading, FGS and mintgrading.com and in their respective defamtion law suits. Heck, I may even start up my own grading company (it's real so long as it doesn't say reprint, right?) just so I can sue ayone who dares question my methodology. All your N43s, Uncle Jacks and Texas Tommy Type IIs will be mine..haha!

Posted By: Max Weder
NASA proves the old adage about the danger of running with scissors--- and slabbing the results. I just wonder if their evil brains (the slabbers, not Houston) are set such that they cut up collectible versions of the old guides, rather than junky copies. Anybody have a sense of their operational method on this point?

Max

Posted By: barrysloate
Just a note about Hager's Accugrade. I have a card in my upcoming September auction (N28 Ward) that is in an Accugrade holder. It received an EX-NM grade. It in fact has noticeable corner wear and a light crease. I have regraded it VG, and it's a weak VG at that. I am most curious at how he or anyone associated with the company came up with that grade. It was clearly fraudulent.I'm sure there are hundreds of similar examples too.

Posted By: warshawlaw
should be in-accu-grade. blank back 1948 leaf boxers, misrepresented as proofs and overgraded to boot, but the price was right...once of these days i'll get ambitious and organize a card jail-break for them.
